Strut your stuff in the Masquerade

Every year, we offer the opportunity for those who enjoy costuming to compete in our Masquerade! We have three prize categories:

  • Haute Couture (at least 75% handmade costumes "of the era")
  • Prêt-à-Porter (less than 75% handmade, evoking a character or idea from the show)
  • Ensemble (group costumes; no restrictions on handmade/purchased elements).

If you're not one to compete, but still want to show off, you can sign up to walk the catwalk. And for those who'd rather watch than participate, it's more fun to parade when there are folks who'll applaud, so we hope you'll still show up for the fun!

    Cairo, 1925

When a renowned archaeologist from Australia uncovers the tomb of an Egyptian noblewoman named Nimaethap near the Valley of the Kings, all eyes turn to Cairo for the mummy’s unveiling. But danger lurks in unexpected places - someone is murdered at the event and a spectacular jewel called the Black Scarab is stolen! The sleuths of The Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas have been called in to solve the mystery… and time is running out.

From the creative teams of League of 13 Entertainment comes The Curse of the Black Scarab - an immersive, interactive murder mystery game that pits players against the clock (and each other) through mind-bending puzzles, clue-dropping characters, and clever conundrums that will let them prove that they are master detectives. With the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum of San Jose, CA, as its backdrop, The Curse of the Black Scarab will transport players to a time of exotic lands, ancient secrets, and nail-biting adventure!
