News from the Wireless

May 31, 2019

Hi there, fellow Miss Fisher fans!

There’s nothing new to report at this point about Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears, unfortunately. What we do know is that the film is in the post-production stage, and once that’s done, Roadshow Films, the Australian distributor, will be able to set a date for release. As you know, Acorn will be releasing the film in the US - no word yet on how widely - and will have streaming rights here as well. (Acorn also has the rights to Ms. Fisher’s MODern Murder Mysteries, which is streaming now!) We hope there’ll be news soon!

We are less than two months out from the 2019 Miss Fisher Con - it’s not too late to register! If you’ll be in the San Jose area on the weekend of con, but don’t have a whole weekend to commit, you can also join us for a single day, and even get an additional seat for a friend at our Friday dinner and masquerade.

Our session schedule is complete, and our special guest is Greg Walker, the man behind the music of Miss Fisher (he’s said that he’s bringing some treats to give away - you don’t want to miss it!).

The con is a great way to get to know other Miss Fisher fans, have some fun, and maybe even learn something (wanna see some proof?). We’d love to see you there! (Please note: Until July 12, tickets will include meals as listed; registration numbers are limited.)

Those of you who are already registered for con can also get your tickets for our Saturday night event, the interactive mystery The Curse of the Black Scarab. We’ve partnered with League of 13 Entertainment to bring you this immersive event where you and your team will solve a crime worthy of Miss Fisher herself! Each starting time has a limited number of participants, so you can gather your friends ahead of time or make new ones when you get there. The teams will search for clues and solve puzzles against the backdrop of the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum. Tickets go on sale to the general public in June, so get yours now!

Are you a member of the Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas? If you want a say in where the next con will be held, members are voting right now on the region of the US we’ll focus on for 2020. Any member can also nominate someone to serve on the ACotA board or be a part of the con planning committee. Join us today!

Cheers,
Sarah
