2022 Miss Fisher Con sessions

This year, we'll be offering both in-person and virtual sessions again, and we plan to record as many sessions as possible - con attendees will be able to watch them via our website after we've all gone back to our homes.

This schedule is close to final, but keep in mind that things may change as we get closer to the con, so be sure to check back for updates!

9:00 am - 10:15 am	Murder & Mozzarella: The Camorra and the rise of Organized Crime in Australia \|\| Grand Ballroom
	“Jack, you didn’t think I’d be frightened off by the Camorra, did you?” “No, I knew you’d be drawn to it like a moth to a flame.” Let’s break omerta and talk a bit about the Camorra and the other Italian mafias operating in Australia during Miss Fisher’s time.

10:30 am - 11:30 am	The Vixen’s Vehicles: What’s an adventuress without one? \|\| Grand Ballroom
	The stage isn’t completely set for an Adventuress until there is an appropriate mode of transportation. We know our lead Vixen loves a fast ride on wheels and wing, so let’s explore the beautiful engineering that adds to the depth of her stories and each visual scene. If bright shiny objects really get your motor runnin’, check out the bits and baubles that made transportation in the 20s decadent enough for Phryne herself. You get extra points if you wear your vintage goggles, long flowy scarf, bike leathers or ear-flap aviator cap! Go ahead, dress the part! If you happen to have a vintage vehicle, bring some pics to share with the group.

	Roger is the director of photography on all three Miss Fisher series, plus the movie, and he’s going to share some stories from on the sets.

2:30 pm - 4:00 pm	Rewatch stitch & bitch \|\| Grand Ballroom
	Let’s gather our projects and rewatch a fan favorite episode of Miss Fisher. Whether you are champ with a glue gun, a wizard with needle and thread, or just want to do some coloring and chill for a bit, let’s gather for some fun and watch our favorite lady detective in action!

6:00 pm – 10:00 pm	Dinner & Masquerade (including a Charleston Dance Lesson) \|\| Grand Ballroom

	Come listen to our exclusive interview with the man behind Senior Detective Inspector Jack Robinson!
10:30 am - 11:00 am	Annual Members’ Meeting \|\| Grand Ballroom
	All attendees, virtual and remote, are welcome to attend. We will discuss the location for the 2023 Miss Fisher Con and cast votes for new board members.

11:15 am - 12:15 pm	WWPW (What Would Phryne Wear?) \|\| Grand Ballroom
	Interactive session providing an analysis of Phryne Fisher’s couture choices leading to a group vote on early 1930s styles that would have been included in Miss Fisher’s wardrobe.

1:30 pm	Meet to carpool or rideshare to the Kentucky Derby Museum \|\| Lobby
2:00 pm - 6:00 pm	Afternoon at the Derby \|\| The Kentucky Derby Museum
	Join us at historic Churchill Downs. We'll start the afternoon with heavy appetizers, then watch a presentation from Jenny Pfanenstiel, the official milliner of the Kentucky Derby! (She also provided hat boxes to the original Miss Fisher TV show!) Then we'll have the first showing of our virtual interview with Louisa Mignone, who played Concetta in Miss Fisher and Violetta in Ms Fisher Modern, before turning folks loose to tour the museum. It's going to be a grand time!
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm	Virtual session: The Colors of Miss Fisher \|\| Zoom
	The colors of the MFMM episodes and the film offer insight into character, plot, mood, and their interrelationships.
