Putting on a convention takes substantial up-front costs, and since the board of the Adventuresses' Club was, at that time, just a group of friends who really wanted to meet more Miss Fisher fans, we had to reach out for assistance. We held a contest where we asked fans to submit art that we would print on t-shirts to be sold to help raise the funds to book the hotel.

Six amazing fan artists submitted designs, and when we opened up the vote to the fandom, a fan named Cowalyn's fantastic Vegas-themed artwork won. We sold more than 75 t-shirts to fans all over the world and were able to book the hotel.
