When it came to series 3, many of us asked one very important question: Where’s Jane?

Jane Ross is an integral addition to the first two seasons of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. As Phryne’s ward, Jane became a motivator for our favorite lady detective, and her character embodies grit, redemption, and a guileless charm that won over her newfound family and fans alike.

All that is to say that we are pleased to announce that wherever Jane was during series 3, the wonderful Ruby Rees is going to be joining us at Miss Fisher Con this year!

Ruby comes to us from Melbourne, where she’s been working in the entertainment industry since 1995. In addition to her two seasons on Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries as Phryne’s indomitable ward, Jane Ross, she’s had parts in multiple projects, and recently finished filming Picnic at Hanging Rock with Natalie Dormer (available on Amazon Prime).

More about Ruby

Ruby plays the key role of Edith in Foxtel’s miniseries Picnic at Hanging Rock, directed by Larysa Kondracki, Michael Rymer and Amanda Brotchie.

She has been a professional performer from a very young age and has already amassed an impressive list of credits. She can currently be seen on Netflix, CBS and ABC in her recurring role in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Other credits include the children’s series The Saddle Club and several short films, including Good Boy for Franco Films NYC.

Ruby trained in all facets of acting at HB Studios in New York. Prior to this she had a background in dance and trained as a ballerina. She has been in countless live productions, including an Off-Broadway production of Noel Coward’s Design For Living, directed by Tony Award Winner Jack Hoffsiss.

Ruby has appeared in a number of television commercials and is very popular on the voice-over circuit, with campaigns including Honda, World Vision and Harry Potter. She was headhunted by Bolinda Audio Books to become the official Narrator of Go Girl, a children’s short story collection aimed at young girls.
