Detective Inspector Jack Robinson, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears
Detective Inspector Jack Robinson in the TV show is very different from the character of the same name in the books. Nathan Page's portrayal of DI Robinson is full of subtleties and charm and his chemistry with Essie Davis is undeniable. His main-character turn as Jack is a romantic lead with the slowest of slow burns, and he plays it with a nuanced style that is a striking contrast to the energetic man himself.
Once a professional cyclist, Nathan turned to acting in the early 1990s, and he's had numerous film and TV roles since then. He now lives with his long-time partner and their two boys in Adelaide, South Australia.
Nathan will join us for a prerecorded virtual interview on Saturday, August 6.
Director of Photography, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears
Chances are, we've all seen at least one of the films or TV shows that Roger Lanser has worked on, even before we fell in love with Miss Fisher's vibrant and beautiful world. But it is certain that without Roger's considerable talents, there would have been less of Miss Fisher to love.
Roger's mastery of light, angle, and framing, and his absolute joy in the art of photography have made Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries a tour de force. We are thrilled to have him join us this year, and cannot wait to learn from him (and not just about the behind-the-scenes shenanigans)!
Roger will join us on the morning of Friday, August 5.
Concetta Fabrizi, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, and Violetta Fellini, Ms. Fisher's MODern Murder Mysteries
Louisa Mignone entered the Miss Fisher-verse as a potential romantic rival to Phryne. She played Concetta Fabrizi so sympathetically that many fans loved her - just not for Jack. When she popped up in Ms. Fisher MOD as Violetta Fellini, many of us were thrilled.
Louisa has also starred in such well-known shows as Wentworth and Rake.
Louisa will be joining us in a prerecorded virtual interview on Saturday, August 6, during our event at the Kentucky Derby Museum.
