  As part of your Miss Fisher Con registration, we’ll be taking a field trip to the Seattle Art Museum. More details to come!

  Join us for light appetizers and drinks as we meet new fandom friends, reconnect with old ones, and start off the 2025 Miss Fisher Con with a bang! We ll update the 2025 Con page with more information as it becomes available!

9:00 am - 10:00 am Making Waves: Bathing Costumes and Suits from the 1920s || Kristin Wojkowski || Gallery Ballroom
  Step back into the glamour of the 1920s and explore how the cultural shifts, technological innovations, and social movements of the time revolutionized swimwear. Kristin’s expertise in (and minor obsession with) vintage swimwear will transport you to an era in which the beach became the ultimate fashion runway. Check out her Instagram @vintage.swimwear.collection to get a head start on this fascinating topic.

10:15 am - 11:45 am Mr. Butler’s Kitchen || Johannah Hupp-Clark || Gallery Ballroom
  A look at the ingredients, cookware, and cooking techniques of the late 1920s. Explore the crockery and implements Mr. Butler might have access to, and the recipes he might prepare for Miss Fisher and her friends.
Noon - 2:00 pm Lunch break || On your own
2:15 pm - 3:30 pm Ms. Fisher: Modern Millinery of the 1960s || Pamela Wilkerson || Gallery Ballroom
  Hats top off the fabulous flapper style of Miss Fisher and the mod mini skirts of Ms Peregrine Fisher. Pamela, a returning presenter, will discuss how hat styles evolved from the jazzy 1920s to the swinging 1960s for both women and men. Pamela is a London-trained milliner and collector of vintage hats. Bring all of your hat questions, from choosing a flattering hat for yourself, to sizing tips and care. Be like Phryne and Peregrine and wear more hats!
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Rewatch Bingo: Blood and Circuses || Gallery Ballroom
  Rewatch like we’ve never done it before! This year, we’ll have games with a chance for a prize! Test your observational skills while we enjoy an episode featuring a cameo by our beloved Kerry Greenwood.
4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Break & Night Circus prep
  A chance to recharge your social battery, grab a snack, and prep for the evening’s festivities.
7:00 pm – 10:00 pm Night Circus Cocktail Party || Gallery Ballroom
  Come to this Night Circus in your finest togs, whether of the Fisherverse or a frock fit for the “big top,” it’s up to you. There’ll be a dance lesson, entertainment by denizens of Seattle nightlife, a special installation by Shadow Girls Cult, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Prepare yourself for a fine time and a bit of intrigue. This evening event is included in your con registration, and you can bring additional guests for a fee. 9:00 am - 10:30 am Under the Big Top: The Rise and Fall of Australia’s Circus Golden Age || Katie Carleski, Sarah Thompson, Jeneen Preciose & Cara Pettite || Gallery Ballroom
  Ever wondered what it is about the circus that so captivates our favorite lady detective? We’ll examine the history of circuses as a staple form of entertainment in early 20th century Australia. Through the lens of episodes like Blood and Circuses and Death Defying Feats, we’ll discuss the golden age of Australian circuses, introducing key figures and touring companies that captivated audiences nationwide, as well as the challenges faced by circuses with the rise of competing entertainment forms like vaudeville and cinema.

  A dive into the history of houses leading up to the 1920s with a focus on Australia. Discover the changing trends and modernization of homes that led to Phryne s delightful Wardlow.
11:45 am - 1:00 pm Lunch || On your own
1:00 pm - 2:15 pm Split track
  Track 1: Miss Fisher Jeopardy & Visual Trivia || Gallery Ballroom
  Whether you are a newcomer to the series or a longtime highly knowledgeable fan, there is something for you. The entire audience can participate in these fun and engaging trivia games.
  Track 2: Care for a Waltz, Miss Fisher Fans? || The Connector
  Jack: Care for a waltz, Miss Fisher fans?
Phryne: Are you sure they want to risk it?
Jack: What’s the risk? The Waltz is a very serious dance and they’ll have a lot of fun!

Let yourself get swept away in learning to waltz, as so many have before you, and feel the movement that may have altered the trajectory of Jack and Phryne’s love affair.
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Annual Member’s Meeting || ACotA Board || Gallery Ballroom
  We’ll go over what the next steps for the con are, introduce our new board members, and initiate a vote on any changes. There may also be some surprises in store!
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Ballard Millinery Studio Field Trip || 1149 NW 52nd Street
  Make your way to the Ballard neighborhood (between 10th and 14th Avenues NW) for a tour of a local millinery studio for a look at how they make their fabulous creations.
7:00 pm - ?? Karaoke and dim sum || Con attendees only
  Come join us for an evening of fun and fellowship (and maybe some Flamboyance)! Sing if you want to and cheer for those who do while noshing on dim sum. This event will have an additional cost, but it'll be a great way to close out the con! This event is only for con attendees, and the location will be shared with your registration. Event details to come.
