8:00 am - 9:00 am Registration & check-in || Atrium Room
9:00 am - 10:00 am On the Couch with Phryne and Freud || Grand Ballroom
MaryBeth Lorence
What does go on in that lovely head of hers? Join a Bay Area psychotherapist as she probes the psyche of Phryne Fisher, exploring how early experiences and relationships made Phryne who she is. Using the episode “Death and Hysteria” (series 3, episode 6) as inspiration, we’ll also have a heady discussion of the state of psychology in the 1920s, and how women championed mental health care in Australia. Finally, we’ll examine the characters in Miss Fisher as Jungian archetypes: mothers, heroes, tricksters, sages, lovers… and more!
10:00 am - 10:30 am Break || Shopping in the Atrium Room
10:30 am - 11:30 am Meet the Man Behind the Music || Grand Ballroom
Greg J. Walker is the music director for both Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and for Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears. During this time, he’ll share with us the process of composing and selecting all the music we hear on the show, and he’ll give us a small peek into the process of creating music for the big screen. Afterward, he’ll be signing autographs.

Jo Jo Stiletto, Mary Holste & Kirsten Comandich
For those planning to take their obsession to the next level or simply interested in learning more about Miss Fisher’s marvelous Melbourne, this panel provides tips, tricks and fascinating historical background of iconic filming locations from three experienced adventuresses. Get ready for a fast ride through the real history of Melbourne celebrated in both the books of Kerry Greenwood and filming of both the television series and feature film. Sources with specific details will be provided to help you scheme your next adventure.
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm Break || Shopping in the Atrium Room
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm How to Hack an Amazon 20s(ish) Dress || Grand Ballroom
Liz Martin
To keep production costs down for a recent production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Liz turned to Amazon to see what dresses she could find that fit within the design and budget parameters. With about 2 hours worth of work, she and her team turned ordinary dresses into “modern” fashion! She’ll walk us through several different ways to customize premade dresses and will have some of the dresses that were worn in the show on display.
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm Every Lady Needs a Headpiece || Grand Ballroom
Kitty Felde, Julie Case & Sandy Hobbs
Bring your bits of bling—broken jewelry, feathers, buttons, flowers, sad hats—and turn them into Phryne-worthy headpieces.
4:30 pm - 6:00 pm Break & masquerade prep || Shopping in the Atrium Room until 5:00 pm
6:00 pm – 11:00 pm Dinner & Masquerade || Grand Ballroom
We’ll start our masquerade with the judged rounds—three categories: Haute Couture (more than 75% custom elements), Prêt-à-Porter (majority store-bought elements), and Ensemble (group costumes)—and then we’ll dine in style while our judges deliberate! After dinner, prizes will be awarded and everyone who wants to will get a chance to walk the catwalk for their fellow con attendees’ accolades.
