News from the Wireless

Hello, fellow Miss Fisher fans!
February is going to be a busy month for us - more than half of the Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas board will be attending the premiere of Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears in Melbourne later this month. We can't wait to share the stories with you! If you’re going to be in Melbourne, consider attending the screening and afterparty that a couple of our members are putting on (details here) - ACotA is sponsoring the champagne reception at this event, and we’d love to see you there!

Adventuresses rocked the red carpet in Palm Springs last month - what will we see in Melbourne?

Miss Fisher Con updates

We’re pretty excited about the session submissions we’ve gotten so far this year - we’re not ready to announce them, though we’re sure you’re going to love them - but there’s still room for more! If you have an idea for a session you’d like to present at the 2020 Miss Fisher Con in Richmond, Virginia, you have until February 15 to submit it. One of my favorite parts of Miss Fisher Con is learning about what other fans are passionate about, and what better way to learn that than from a session presenter? There’s still time to sign up and share your interests with a slice of the fandom. Submit your session today!
And speaking of Miss Fisher Con, have you registered yet? There’s still room, and we’d love to see you all there! The con hotel is nearly sold out, but there are other hotels nearby. I also have it on good authority that there are folks looking for roommates still - check out our Facebook group page or, if you’re a member, visit the roommates & rideshares channel of our ACotA Slack to find a new friend!

As you probably know, Australia is still struggling to put out all of the fires that sparked during the late 2019/early 2020 fire season, and the road to recovery will be long. We all want to help - if you can afford to, we encourage you to donate - we’re focusing on saving the animalssupporting indigenous peoples, or lending more general assistance. This is only a small slice of the options out there, and we hope that you will give as you feel able to help the country recover.

Acorn TV has announced a date on which they will begin streaming the Miss Fisher movie: March 23, 2020! They are working to coordinate theater dates as well - we’ll keep you informed as we know more. We’re looking forward to being able to do with the movie what we’ve done with the show: watch until we’re sure that all of the fan theories hold up.
We’ve also heard that Acorn TV has secured streaming rights in Latin America for both Miss Fisher TV shows and the movie! Still no word on the European release, but we’re certain it’s coming.

Stay tuned to our social media in the next month - FacebookTwitterInstagram, and Tumblr - we’ll get you as close to the action in Melbourne as we can. We will continue to bring you news on where the movie will hit theaters as we know it - we hope that’ll be to a theater near you!
