Hello, Miss Fisher Fans!
As you might guess, those of us who are heading to con are in full-on countdown mode (it’s less than two weeks away!), but there’s plenty of news in the Miss Fisherverse for all the fans!
1. The Indiegogo campaign for the movie closes soon
Congratulations to @missfisher_official for reaching $800,000 on their crowdfunding campaign for Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears! Remember, if you want to contribute to Essie's thrice-weekly bob trims you can donate to Every Cloud's Indiegogo campaign, but it closes June 19, so don’t wait any longer! The rewards for the campaign are fun, but the best reward of all will be Miss Fisher on the big screen. Filming begins in October!
2. Every Cloud wants to hear from you!
Lynn Reed, an associate producer on Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears, will be at the con, recording on-camera interviews with fans. She’ll be asking questions about why you love Miss Fisher (um, let me count the ways), whether you’re excited about the movie (wait, lemme think… YES), and more! The videos may be used to promote the movie and possibly future cons.
For those who can’t make the con, Lynn would love to have you record a video at home and send it on to her! Here’s the signup form (link expired), complete with sample questions, and you can email your videos or upload them right there. I can’t wait to hear what the fans have to say!
3. Have you considered membership in the Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas?
You don’t have to come to Miss Fisher Con to be a member of the ACotA! Membership will connect you with other Miss Fisher fans, keep you updated with news and meetup opportunities, and give you voting privileges on topics such as where the 2019 con will be held. Our annual member meeting will be held at the 2018 Miss Fisher Con, and those who aren’t in attendance will be able to cast their votes online. It’s not too late - join today!
The next newsletter you receive will be in July, after the 2018 con, but we’d love it if you’ll join in on the fun - before, during, and after con - by following us on social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Tumblr (or all of them! Go crazy!).
